Our Story
Doulado was founded on the belief that a human's wellbeing should be at the top of the priority list, whether it's the beginning of life or the end of life. We saw the impact doulas were making in improving maternal health outcomes, advocating for equitable minority care and supporting people through life’s transitions. For decades, doulas have been piecing together tech stacks made for other industries to run their businesses and take care of clients. We saw the need to create Doulado, one of the first apps designed to meet the unique caregiving needs of doulas.

We aim to remove the barriers doulas can face to start and run their business. We partner with organizations to provide sliding scale pricing for doulas who graduate from non-profit programs or have unique needs and challenges.

Our Founders
Doulado was founded in 2022 by Mary Beth Johnson, a mother, writer and abuse victim advocate, and Jayse Brock, an entrepreneur, SaaS builder and investor. Based in Greenville, SC and longtime friends Jayse and Mary Beth are both passionate about building companies that sustainably support small businesses.
